School's Out! Summer's In!

It's summer time and the temperature is rising. Here are some ways to have fun and beat the summer heat:
-Plan a picnic at the beach or local park.
-Visit the local farmers/flea market.
-Bring out the tent and sleeping bags and camp out.
-Clean out the closets and have a yard sale
-Buy some postcards and say "Hi" to old friends.
-Visit the zoo.
-Learn a new card game.
-Take them out to the ball game.
-Start a water balloon fight.
-Make a new summer recipe like:

STRAWBERRY PRETZEL SALAD
-2 1/4 cup crushed pretzel pieces
-4 tbsp. brown sugar
-1 1/2 stick melted butter
-1 package cream cheese (8 oz.)
-1 cup white sugar
-1 tub Cool Whip (8 oz.)
-1 box Strawberry Jell-O
-2 cups boiling water
-2 packages (approx 3 cups) frozen strawberries

Combine pretzels, brown sugar and melted butter and spread on the bottom of a 9 X 13 baking dish. Bake 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Set aside to cool.
Combine cream cheese, sugar and Cool Whip and mix until creamy. Spread on crust.
Stir Strawberry Jell-O into to the boiling water, adding the frozen strawberries. Slightly chill Jell-O mixture until slightly gelled, then pour on top of the cream cheese mixture.
Refrigerate until firm.
